First define intensity as an independently measurable quantity and propose a time–intensity relation. If it refers to electromagnetic field strength, one can use at least two types of atomic clocks in two independent laboratories with blinded field-strength modulation, controlling temperature, motion, gravitational potential, AC Stark shifts, and Zeeman shifts, with approximately 1,000 hours of cumulative comparison data, over 18–24 months; test whether there is a consistent cross-clock residual beyond known systematic shifts. If it refers to subjective intensity of experience, a separate time-estimation experiment with about 200 people could measure that, but it cannot adjudicate the physical ontology of time.
