Research Program / Claims / outer-senses-12

During practice, Rob felt a strange sensation spreading locally; Seth called it 'sensation sound,' but it did not turn into sound or imagery.

罗在练习中感到奇异感觉扩散至局部,赛斯称之为“感觉声音”,但未转化为声音或图像。

This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
Recruit about 60 individuals who can repeatedly report similar experiences and 120 matched controls; in a randomized crossover, administer neutral practice, 'sensation sound' suggestion, and attention-shift conditions. Record body-sensation maps, auditory and tactile thresholds, EEG, respiration, and EMG; include real sounds, silence, and tactile stimuli; 4–6 sessions per person, over 12–18 months. Primary tests: whether the experience is stable, stimulus-specific, and changes with suggestion; if additional information is claimed, blind target discrimination is added.
Suggested paper title
Expectancy and Cross-Modal Contributions to Unusual Somatic Experiences During Guided Attention
What it would overturn
A stable, unusual bodily sensation does not itself require overturning mainstream hypotheses; only if specific sound information with no conventional input could be decoded from it would this challenge the hypothesis that sound-content discrimination requires sensory input or existing memory.
Candidate labs / funders
Michael S. Beauchamp(多感觉整合研究); Tony Ro(听觉—触觉相互作用研究); Jamie Ward(联觉研究); Peter Lush(暗示、期待与身体体验研究)
Specificity of Seth's formulation
It lacks pitch, rhythm, location mapping, repeatability, and discrimination performance; 'sensation sound' is currently a descriptive label without a distinctive mechanistic prediction.
Note
One should first record the experience in neutral language, only then apply a theoretical label; the absence of sound or imagery does not automatically mean that as-yet-untransduced sensory information exists.
