Reading Guide
The "time" in "the time you are in determines the place you are in" is not ordinary continuous time, but rather a time sequence, a perceptual interval, or a sampling frequency. Space is more temporal than is usually assumed, and different time sequences correspond to different places. Seth explains the foundation of the world in terms of "invisible particles" or units of consciousness: they can form or withdraw mass, and at the same time they are everywhere at once. Human beings are composed of these particles, and one part of consciousness is everywhere at once, while another part is fixed in a specific place. People perceive only their own time framework, while other worlds operate at different intervals and frequencies; this kind of material comes from outside of time, and adjusting one's beliefs is the prerequisite.
Key Points of This Chapter
- The "time" in "the time you are in determines the place you are in" refers to time sequences, perceptual intervals, or sampling frequencies, not the usual continuous time.
- Space is more temporal than is usually thought; different time sequences correspond to different spatial positions and activities.
- The world is supported by invisible units of consciousness or particles, which can form or shed mass, and are simultaneously everywhere, moving faster than light but undetected.
- Human beings are composed of these invisible particles; one part of consciousness is simultaneously everywhere, while another part is fixed in a specific place.
- Different worlds operate at different intervals and frequencies; human nerves are equipped to perceive only their own time framework; if beliefs are not adjusted, methods are useless.
Main Text
Opening: When You Are the Self You See
Today we continue sharing Chapter 8 of Volume 2 of the Seth book Dreams, "Evolution," and Value Fulfillment.
The title of this chapter is "When You Are the Self You See: The Worlds of Imagination and Reason, and the Implied Universe" — that is, the hidden, unspoken, metaphorical universe.
This is Session 915, which began on Monday, May 12, 1980, at 9:10 p.m.
At the start, Rob gave a brief update on Jane's recent condition. Jane wrote in her diary that her physical symptoms had completely eased. Seeing her walk more easily was truly a joy. Although she could only take a few steps at a time and still had to rely on a table or whatever she could reach for support — for Jane, this was already enormous progress. Because this state had been impossible before; in the past, moving around had been extremely painful for her.
Then Seth came through and began right away with the new chapter, Chapter 8, which is the title we just mentioned.
The Time You Are In Determines the Place You Are In
This session is a bit difficult. His very first sentence is difficult, and I imagine a lot of people get confused right there:
The time you are in determines the place you are in.
Let me only explain half of this sentence first, because you will only understand the other half after he finishes what he says later. This is genuinely not easy to explain.
First of all, the "time" he is talking about is not the time we ordinarily understand. He says:
I am not speaking of the usual idea of time, or of the kind of moments that are continuous. I am indeed speaking of certain dimensions of activity in which your space occurs.
He says that space is in many ways more "time-like" than you think it is -- and he puts "time-like" in quotation marks, because the time-like quality here is not the same thing as the time-like quality we understand. He emphasizes that the time I am talking about is not the kind of time and continuity you understand; what I am talking about is the dimension of certain activities that occur within space, and that dimension escapes the range of our cognition. The time he is referring to here is this time.
So how do we understand this passage? Let me give a simple example.
First, this "time" refers to a frequency of time, or a sampling rate of time, or the rate at which you perceive time. You can understand this frequency in the following way.
For example, we can only see 25 or 24 frames per second1, and any motion or change faster than this rate cannot be captured by the naked eye -- it becomes invisible. This is a frequency at which we capture the rate of time. All motion that occurs more than 25 times per second will escape the range of your cognition or awareness.
Now suppose your physical body were flashing in and out of existence at a rate of one million times per second -- suppose it flashed at a rate of one millionth of a second, that is 1 microsecond. You flash in and out of this world at the speed of microseconds, and such a frequency would be beyond the range of your cognition.
I drew a diagram to sketch this out simply, so it is easier to understand.
Suppose I drew three little figures: one at home, one at the office, and one eating a meal. These three little figures are all you; you are in these three places at the same time.
The you at home reads and perceives according to time sequence number one. For example, he reads one piece of information every 146 microseconds, and that is your state at home. Your cooking, eating, and watching TV at home are all sampled at a sampling frequency of every 146 microseconds. And this consciousness of you at home is aligned only with the sequence that samples once every 146 microseconds to experience this time. Every 146 microseconds it reads once, and what it reads back is your activity at home.
The same goes for the office. Suppose his sampling frequency is once every 39 microseconds, and he is working, doing documents. At the restaurant, the sampling frequency is 207 microseconds.
Or to put it another way: our sampling frequency is fixed, but the "bit positions" of the sampling are different.
Suppose this is a time sequence, and we divide it into one million parts. Suppose my sampling frequency is once every 400 microseconds. Sequence one starts taking from the first position: 1, 401, 801, 1201... Sequence two starts taking from the second position: 2, 402, 802, 1202... Sequence three starts taking from the third position: 3, 403, 803, 1203...
In this way, theoretically, could there not be 400 separate selves, none of them repeating?
So a sampling frequency like this is called a time sequence, or you could call it a kind of time framework. The "time" Seth is talking about here means that whichever time sequence you are in determines where you are, determines what space you are in. The time sequence determines your spatial position -- if you are in sequence one, you are at home; if you are in sequence two, you are at your workplace; if you are in sequence three, you are eating with friends.
Returning to the main body of the session, you now understand the meaning of this sentence. He says, "The time you are in determines the place you are in," and the "time" here is the time sequence. He says, "Space is more time-like than you think it is" -- space, I am here, I am there, right? Space is more time-like, and this "time-like" quality still refers to this sequence of sampling of you within time, so space is more time-like.
It is certainly not a continuous segment. Look at what I drew: it is non-continuous, it is piece by piece, slice by slice. If you think of time as something continuous and indivisible, then this becomes hard to work with. If you think of time as non-continuous, one portion at a time, then you can understand it.
The smallest unit of this time can go down to the Planck constant. If you have studied quantum physics, you know that Planck time is the smallest unit of time, approximately 10 to the negative 35th power seconds2. That is to say, zero point zero zero zero... 35 zeros, one second.
So now you can understand this passage of his: I am speaking of certain dimensions of activity that occur within your space. As I just explained, these time sequences divide up our space. Whichever time sequence you are in, that is the space you are in.
Invisible Particles and Units of Consciousness
He says:
As soon as we try to explain the origin of your world in a new way, it brings up many questions that do not usually arise in this kind of discussion.
The world you know emerged into the appearance of definite reality from an inner, broader dimensional realm. It is supported by a seemingly invisible framework -- as I just said, the concepts of time and space are completely different from what you think; it is supported by an invisible framework.
He says, after you have transcended certain levels -- what levels? That is, after the dimension of your consciousness has reached a higher height of consciousness, this is called transcending -- then, to speak in terms of particles is almost meaningless. For me to explain this to you from a material perspective is meaningless. Because at that higher level of consciousness, this world is no longer material; it is a field, precisely speaking a field. But if I do not speak to you in terms of particles, you cannot understand. So he says, I will temporarily use the term "invisible particles," because that will be more familiar to you.
He says it is actually not a particle structure; it is not even the concept of particles. But you humans have a deep-rooted understanding of the material world and particles, so using this explanation will make it easier for you to understand.
These invisible particles form the foundation of your world.
Is that actually how it is? No. It is the field; it is those units of consciousness. Units of consciousness are invisible particles, and at the same time they are also a field; they operate in both states simultaneously.
But the invisible particles I speak of have the ability to form themselves into mass or to divest themselves of mass.
This is a very magical concept. He is still using an analogy: suppose our world is composed of these invisible particles, then these invisible particles must possess an ability to transform themselves into particles with mass, and also to turn themselves into particles without mass, able to switch at any time.
We know that in the three-dimensional world, whether mass exists or not, whether it disappears or increases, all brings about changes in energy -- the energy of E equals mc squared3. So he says, if it is a kind of invisible particle, it must be able to load mass onto itself and also remove mass, unaffected by the law of conservation of energy in our world.
And the invisible particles I speak of not only possess consciousness, but each one contains within itself the potential to bring about an infinite number of gestalts.
This is a repetition of what was said in Volume One; he is talking about units of consciousness. Every unit of consciousness has infinite potential -- from the smallest to the largest, all included. The smallest contains the largest, and the largest contains the smallest; this is called the concept of the gestalt.
Each of these invisible particles contains within itself the potential to initiate an infinite number of possible variations of consciousness.
But it is "drawn but not released" -- at that stage it is unspecialized, it is not determined, it is a quantum superposition state. All possibilities are there, but I am not yet certain which one it is. It can become anything in the world, can compose anything in the world, and also knows what the consciousness of anything in the world is like. Do not think it is so small -- as large as a galaxy, as small as a particle, I know it all. But right now I am not yet certain what I am.
At the same time, within themselves they also contain an innate ability to specialize in whatever direction becomes suitable.
It has the ability to become a specific thing, and can also maintain an unchanging quantum state. This is the most typical concept in quantum mechanics: I can be anything, and I can also be nothing.
They can be, and indeed they are, everywhere at the same time.
At the same time, it pervades all of space; it is simultaneously in every place -- just as I said before, your three little figures are all present at the same time. This is the basic condition of this universe. If you cannot establish this concept, then it will be hard for you to understand what follows.
Sometimes they operate with mass, and sometimes without mass.
With mass means becoming particulate, material; without mass means becoming a field, or a state of energy field. It is wave-particle duality.
Now you are composed of these invisible particles.
Your body, you as a person, are composed of these invisible particles. All the characteristics that invisible particles possess, you possess as well -- you are simultaneously in all places, and this is one of those characteristics. Every other thing your physical eyes see is also like this.
To that extent, one portion of your own consciousness is simultaneously everywhere... but another portion is also fixed in certain places.
Remember the rigor of his wording here: only one portion is everywhere. Which portion? It is the portion in its energy state, or the portion of consciousness in the state of the consciousness web, the consciousness field -- that is everywhere. And the other portion, those specialized consciousnesses -- for example, the portion of your consciousness that is at home -- it has already specialized; it is at home, it has not gone anywhere; it is not everywhere.
They are not lost, nor diffused in some way.
It has nothing to do with diffusion. It is not like the diffusion of conscious energy into the whole universe as you imagine -- no. It is simply there; it is indeed extremely responsive, and it is just as highly alert as the consciousness you are familiar with. It is concentrated on its focus of consciousness, always aware of the existence of the self. It is individually separate, clear consciousness.
You think of yourselves as representing only one position.
You think you may only be in this position right now. Wherever you are right now is where you are -- because those invisible particles of yours happen to intersect with this point in space-time, and then acquired mass, became a material state, and took on a shape.
Scientists can only perceive an electron as they see it. They cannot really track an electron; they cannot determine both the position and the velocity of an electron at the same time. The same applies to your consciousness.
This goes back to the uncertainty principle in quantum mechanics4 -- you cannot simultaneously know the position and the angular velocity of a particle; you can only obtain one of them. This is the same as your consciousness; consciousness also cannot be measured, cannot be captured.
Just as you think a thought, the speed of your own thinking, the speed of thought, carries that thought away from you, and you can never really examine that thought, but only examine the thought about the thought.
He says this with quiet humor. This is a fact: we humans cannot grasp a thought. Because the thought with which you grasp the thought is already not the original thought. The original thought, at the moment you grasp it with this thought, has already changed. What you grasp is never that thought; it is the thought that grasps the thought.
Because you exist, you are everywhere at the same time.
This sentence is an affirmation, a statement. It does not require any supernatural power, does not require cultivating to any level, does not require becoming a Buddha or an immortal -- it does not. You already are. Because you exist, you are everywhere.
I quite understand that you can hardly follow the fact of that psychological action.
Of course I understand that you cannot follow your thoughts; this is true.
As we will see later, your imagination will lead you to a recognition of this idea, and even to an emotional understanding of it. Although at first your reasoning abilities may be hesitant.
Hesitant means indecisive -- because the reasoning mind is of no use here. But that is only because you have trained the intellect to respond in a limited way.
Seth is giving a precautionary note first. Next he begins to discuss the core content of this session.
The Intervals of Perception and Infinite Sequences
The following passage is the core content of this session, and it is also the specific explanation of the first sentence -- that is, "the time you are in determines the space you are in."
There is what I call the interval of perception... You are usually aware of certain neurologically important events. And that neurological timing is the result of an almost infinite series of sequences. And those sequences are areas in which activity takes place. Each consciousness in each area is attuned to the appropriate sequence. Each area is built upon the others. For example, those hidden particles are the skeleton upon which your body is formed. They move faster than the speed of light. Yet you do not feel dizzy, and you do not perceive this movement. They are attuned to a different order of action.
Basically the theme of this chapter is right here. But I think, after hearing what I just explained and then reading this passage, you may still not quite understand it. As I already gave you an explanation at the very beginning.
Let us go through the original text to help with understanding. This translation cannot be said to be wrong, but there is something about it that feels awkward, though it is hard to say exactly where.
First, let us smooth out this sentence: there is something called the "interval of perception" -- that is, the intervals of our thoughts, the intervals of our feelings. Think about it: what does the food I eat feel like, does this thing I am touching feel smooth or prickly -- these feelings, you can only feel them within the intervals of perception. If you had a continuous feeling, you would have no opportunity to experience it. The fact that you can experience this feeling means it must be within this interval of perception.
This concept is essential. Because the way you understand feeling is that it is continuous -- heat is continuous, the table you touch is smooth, or the texture of food on your tongue, you think it is continuous. Remember, this is what you think. But it is definitely not continuous in reality. If you have studied biology and anatomy, you know that information is transmitted through neurons, from one synapse to the next, segment by segment. It is definitely not continuous.
So the first thing is to break your cognition: your feelings are not continuous; they have gaps. In other words, if there were no such gaps, you would have no way to feel anything.
Within those intervals, you are usually aware of events -- through significant neurological sensations. Because all of our feelings are transmitted through nerves; they are all obvious neurological sensations. The events you feel, the things around you, are all given to you through nerves.
That neurological "timing" -- this word timing is a very crucial point here. The gap between one moment of feeling and the next, that point of the interval, is what he calls timing.
He says this timing is "the result of an infinite series of sequences." Note that he uses sequence in the plural -- sequences. It is the result of a series, of infinite sequences.
What does that mean? It is what I explained earlier: with one million flashes per second, how many possible sequences are there within that? If my sampling frequency is 400, there are at least 400 possible sequences. But what if there are six billion flashes per second? At what frequency do I sample -- taking one sample every 100 units, every 10,000 units, every 133 units -- then would not the sequences be infinite?
Among these infinite sequences, you select a certain point, a certain sequence -- this timing -- and that determines what events you feel. Just as I said earlier: if you are in sequence one, you feel that you are at home, cooking, cleaning; if you are in time sequence two, you are working overtime at the office. What events you experience is the result of your selecting one of these infinite sequences.
These sequences (plural), they are areas one by one -- what kind of areas? Areas in which activity can take place. Each sequence corresponds to an action or a group of actions. In every area there is consciousness, and every consciousness is attuned to the sequence that matches that area.
Then he says, each area is built upon the others. You may not quite understand this -- what does it have to do with the other areas?
Because they are a whole. Let us go back to this diagram. Let me give you an example and you will understand.
Let us look at the movement of a cell. Within a cell there are molecules, within molecules there are atoms, within atoms there are electrons. They are all moving. For an atom, there are electrons around the nucleus -- that is a series of activities. These atoms form molecules -- for example, a water molecule H2O, two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. Several water molecules plus other molecules form a cell. Cells form tissues, tissues form organs, organs form a person.
You have your own consciousness. Your consciousness can feel that you are getting up to drink water -- that is what your human consciousness can feel. But in the process of your drinking water, can you perceive the movements of the atoms, molecules, and cells below? You definitely cannot. Because their time sequence is different from yours. The time sequence of atoms is much faster than yours, so you simply cannot capture it, and you do not have the energy to capture it.
Another example. A coronavirus, with many protein spikes, enters a human cell to infect it -- this process itself is a continuous action: the protein spikes grab the ACE2 receptors on the surface of the human cell, bind to them, and then enter, and so on. This is all the action of the virus. But as a person, can you feel it? Can you only feel that you have caught a cold, that you have a fever, that you have a headache? Can you feel these operations of the virus?
Do those actions not exist? They definitely exist. Is the feeling of your fever, that experience, not built upon the activities below? Is it not one area built upon another area, and built upon yet another area? Layer upon layer, until finally what you feel is that you have a fever. All of what is below, you cannot feel -- because they are different areas, and you only need to feel the area you are in.
Do you understand this part now?
Why You Don't Feel Dizzy
He went on to say:
Those hidden particles are the skeleton upon which your bodies are formed. They move faster than the speed of light, yet you do not feel dizzy.
First we have to break through a cognition in physics—we think that in the material world nothing can move faster than the speed of light. But Seth clearly tells you: it does move faster than the speed of light. So why don't you feel dizzy?
Because, he says, you don't perceive those movements. You have adjusted your own consciousness to a different sequence of action—a very slow time sequence. Twenty-five samples per second, while the speed of superluminal motion is how many tens of thousands of times? You can do the math. So you understand what he means by this passage.
Why does time determine your space? The "time" here refers to the time sequence.
There are different worlds operating at different intervals, at different frequencies.
This makes it easy to understand what Seth often said before about parallel worlds. Now we know: are those so-called parallel space-times the same as the space we understand? Both the same and not the same. They all come into being based on time sequences. Those parallel worlds, within their own time sequences, are conscious.
Although you are neurologically equipped only to perceive your time framework... your interval framework.
Your human neurological perception—that is, the outer senses—is equipped only to sense this material world, to sense the framework, the time order, the time sequence that corresponds to this material world.
When I speak of time, I do not mean the kind of time you refer to as those other centuries. But between the moments that you know and mentally accept... there are other kinds of moments.
Besides this kind of time moment in our nervous system, there are other moments. Their sampling frequency may be faster, or it may be slower. For a stone it is slower, for an atom it is faster. If your sampling frequency is low, you cannot obtain that more detailed, richer information. Your amount of information is related to the sampling frequency.
Other versions of time, if you prefer.
That different time sequence, sampling frequency, time moment—an interval different from your moments. That is to say: atoms have atomic time, stones have stone time, animals have animal time. They all differ from our understanding of time.
Note, he is not talking about the length or speed of time—not a question of speed, but a question of scale. The scale of time, the sampling degree of time, the granularity of time, the precision of time—however you say it, it's roughly this meaning. As long as you understand the example I gave earlier, you'll know that all variations come back to the same core.
And other kinds of accomplishments.
They have their versions of time, and they have their accomplishments—this "accomplishments" refers to the results of action. And those results do not depend on your usual concept of "growth through time." We ordinarily always feel that growth necessarily requires time—whether the growth of all things or personal growth, it all needs to be completed within time. But in other time frameworks, there is no such notion. They might grow in an instant, or even grow in reverse—anything is possible.
You Are Far More Intelligent Than You Realize
Seth also knows that these words are hard to understand the first time you read them.
But I know that all of you are far more intelligent than you understand.
You only think you don't understand.
Far more intuitive. And I know that you are tired of the simple stories people have been telling you, as if you were all children.
You are surely tired of those theories scientists tell you that are like coaxing little children -- something like the Big Bang, God creating the world. It sounds like a fairy tale the moment you hear it. If you use that to explain the origin of the universe, it insults the intelligence of our human race.
And your hearts and minds long for challenges worthy of them.
Human beings have this kind of longing, to seek knowledge worthy of your intelligence, worthy of your psyche. Because each of you is born with the impulse toward value fulfillment. You want to stretch yourselves as far as possible, and you can. Although what I say is difficult, you have this ability, and you can do it. You will not be satisfied with that kind of simple, homogenized, comfortable view of the universe anymore.
It is only because in this era of yours, you have trained yourselves to limit the nature of your consciousness, that all these concepts seem strange. Actually they are not strange; it is just that you were taught badly from childhood, bound by those traditional concepts.
You have wanted to believe, all along, that you could train your great imaginations and intellects, confining their activities to the physical world.
You want to train and expand your imagination and intellect, but you have added a frame around it: all of this can only be attempted within the physical world. Because you have been told that only this physical world exists.
But in childhood, before you were bound in this way, each of you had your own dreams, dreams that awakened you to an awareness of other portions of your own entity.
There are many experiences open to you now, if you would freely allow them, that would give you glimpses of the reality that exists in those intervals.
Those other intervals. If you have an open mind, a flexible consciousness, and no limiting restrictions, then you will discover that within the intervals of our world, there are hidden other parallel worlds. Those other realities and other worlds are just as real, just as existent, as this world of ours. As long as you use your perceptive abilities, you can discover them.
Later in this book, I will give some exercises along these lines, to tell you how you can sense these other realities. But if your beliefs hold you back and will not let you move forward, then all such methods will be of no use.
If your beliefs cannot move with you, cannot change, then merely doing exercises is useless. First, on the level of belief, you have to adjust.
So the main thrust of all my books is to strengthen that area of your own thinking and speculation.
Speculation means daring to imagine, daring to guess, daring to use your imagination and your intuition.
End of Dictation: Information from Outside of Time
Then he said the dictation was over. This session, though very short, is very difficult, very dense, very rich in content, so he did not want to say any more, and hoped everyone would digest it well.
In material such as this evening's, as in sessions in general, what you get is always information that does indeed come from outside of time in some important way.
Just like this evening's session, the information you receive is definitely from outside your time. To put it plainly: this knowledge is not within the scope of human knowledge, not within the knowledge of human history. It is knowledge from another dimension, a higher dimension or a more multi-dimensional one. Because it comes through channeling, through Seth in this way, it is not something from your world.
This also requires Ruburt to blend imagination and reason together in a high-speed, highly accelerated way, and to push it, on a level that is generally speaking obviously unconscious, up into the level of my realm.
In order to obtain this knowledge from outside human time, outside the physical world, outside time and space, Jane had to use an accelerated, high-speed method to push herself up onto a level where I am, and only then could the two of us communicate. And it was on an unconscious level.
And I have my own consciousness in other intervals, which, in your terms, are intervals that encompass your intervals.
That level is not my original level either. On my original level, in my own interval, I have yet another existence. The level where Jane and I meet is a level that Jane and I can both access -- as was discussed before, a meeting surface of the psyche.
Besides this me that Jane is able to contact, on other time intervals, in other dimensions, there is another me that exists. Why say "encompass"? Let me give an example: suppose Seth's sampling frequency takes one sample per time unit, then he encompasses all of ours -- whether you sample once every 400 units or once every 800 units, none of you can escape his sampling frequency. All of your actions, all of your perceptions, all of your consciousness, are within his sampling frequency.
But he said, when I want to communicate with Jane, we choose a frequency, a time sequence -- a place where Jane can also get to, and I can also get to. Do not think that the me in that place is the whole of me. The time sequence I am in is far finer, far denser, far more comprehensive than yours. I encompass you.
Closing Supplement and Jane's Poem
He made one final supplement. He said Ruburt is undergoing some profound therapeutic changes.
Probabilities intersect with your time at every point. Every point of your life is a foothold, a point of leverage, a point from which change can be launched.
Those probabilities are directed by the psyche -- all probabilities are directed by your psyche, and your psyche is the key.
So once again, in your terms, he is at an excellent intersection -- that is, from before up to the point where healing can begin. He has now arrived at a crossroads, and the chances for recovery are still very great. He told Rob: I say this to give Jane confidence. If Jane can persist in working according to her present beliefs and ideas, then her body can be healed.
But he added afterward that this matter is the responsibility of both of you. Because the two of your lives come together in their own way. Jane must change, and Rob must also urge her on, for the healing to be complete.
Later he also added a note, saying that in Appendix 19 of Volume 2 of The "Unknown" Reality -- he said I usually think of mass as referring to the volume or weight of an object. Classical physics says that the quantity of matter in an object is measured in relation to its inertia, and inertia in turn is the tendency of matter to "keep moving if moving, keep still if still." The mass of an object is obtained by dividing its weight by the acceleration caused by gravity5.
This is a basic concept in physics, so I won't go into it further. But remember: mass can change, it is not fixed. We think mass is fixed, but actually it is not -- mass can change at any time.
That appendix is a convenient reference for related concepts, because in it Seth also briefly discusses subatomic particles, atoms, molecules, the hypothetical particles faster than light called "tachyons"6, Seth's units of consciousness -- he only affirms that consciousness in the out-of-body state can move faster than light. And also Einstein's special theory of relativity7, and so on.
Then he said note two: when Jane was 25 years old, nine years before the Seth sessions began, she wrote a poem called "More Than Man." Seth said this poem expresses the concept of the moment point, and he still considers the following lines highly suggestive:
Between the tick and the tock of the clock, long centuries have passed. From the universe behind our universe...
That is, within this moment point, another universe may have passed through an entire century, while for us it may only be one second.
In Session 682 of Volume 1 of The "Unknown" Reality, Seth said again:
There are systems in which, from your viewpoint, a moment or an instant can last for the lifetime of a universe. I do not mean that the instant is merely stretched out in time, but that time is slowed down.
It is neither that time is lengthened, nor that time is slowed down, but that within a single instant, all possible experience becomes real within that framework.
In some worlds, one second of your world is as long as an entire universe from birth to destruction in that world. But do not look at it from the perspective of your world, as if time in that world has slowed down or sped up -- it is not a question of fast or slow, but a question of the scale of time.
Having studied this session today, you understand: that refers to the scale of time, or the frequency, sampling rate, and sequence of time to which you are attuned. For a galaxy, perhaps its sampling rate is in units of a hundred thousand years; for an electron, it would have to be as small as it can possibly be, even approaching the Planck time unit, before its behavioral patterns can be properly discussed.
So, in different realities, in different dimensions, time depends on its scale. The sequence of time determines what dimension you are in.
In other words, and more interestingly: when you possess the time sequence of an electron -- that kind of high-speed sampling rate -- then you possess the consciousness of an electron, and you are the electron. Where do you say you live? You live inside an atom, and the atom is your entire world.
Now you understand what this means -- the relationship between dimension, consciousness, time, and time sequence. To "time sequence" we should add the word "sequence," or call it time frequency, time granularity, time scale. Depending on where you are, time determines space, and this is a very interesting thing.
This session is somewhat difficult. If you still cannot understand it well, you can listen to it twice more, or find the English original and go through it sentence by sentence, paragraph by paragraph. If you can understand this passage, then the elevation of your level of consciousness can take a very big step upward.
