Research Program / Claims / unconscious-7

To explore seemingly "empty" places and seek gaps between events, because the lack of camouflage there can instead provide evidence.

要探索看似“空”的地方、寻找事件之间的间隙,因为那里缺乏伪装,反而能提供证据。

This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
First, define the "gap" as narrative event boundaries or physical blanks of 50–1000 ms; approximately 200 participants complete an orthogonal experiment with boundary present/absent × blank present/absent, with 80 undergoing fMRI and the rest EEG, plus matched conditions for perceptual change and attentional capture. Measure target detection, temporal order memory, and neural representation changes; project duration 9–12 months. If the claim is that gaps provide information not ordinarily available, add independent random targets and preregister matching rules; boundary effects alone cannot adjudicate the original ontological explanation.
Suggested paper title
Temporal Gaps and Event Boundaries in Perceptual Access and Episodic Memory
What it would overturn
Only if gaps specifically provide information beyond sensory input, prediction, and memory would this challenge the explanation that event boundary effects arise from attentional reset and situation model updating.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
The original text does not specify whether the emptiness is spatial, temporal, experiential, or in the measurement signal, so there is as yet no distinguishable prediction; the above gap definition is newly added by the researcher.
Note
Reusable narrative and event segmentation methods already exist; see [Dynamic Perception and Memory Lab research introduction](https://psychology.columbia.edu/content/christopher-baldassano); blank stimuli also evoke neural activity.
