This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
Supplementary Question 5: A pre-registered crossover experiment with approximately 180 participants would compare Seth-style induction, standard hypnosis, wakeful relaxation, and guided mind-wandering, with an additional controlled sleep-restriction condition. Each participant would complete approximately five visits over four weeks; the total project duration would be 12 months. An eyes-open version of the induction would be followed by the sustained attention to response task (SART), with reaction-time variability, omission rates, and commission error rates specified in advance, supplemented by mind-wandering probes, a psychomotor vigilance task, and EEG/EOG sleep monitoring. Non-inferiority testing would assess whether attention is maintained, and sleep staging would determine whether participants fall asleep; nonsignificant differences must not be treated as equivalence.

Sustained Attention and Wakefulness During Absorptive Induction: A Pre-registered Crossover Study
What it would overturn
Confirmation only of wakefulness and focused attention would not overturn contemporary mainstream assumptions; it would only reject the historical hypothesis that hypnosis is equivalent to sleep.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
Low: The claim resembles modern definitions of hypnosis but does not specify the object of attention, the magnitude of improvement, or the populations to which it applies. If intended to encompass all trance states, it exceeds the evidence.
Note
Searches current through 2026-09-06; all items were assessed using the summaries provided by the user, without independent verification of the original Seth texts. The label supported applies only to explicitly identified operationalizable components. All proposed sample sizes are planning estimates and must be determined through power analysis, and SART alone cannot establish intact consciousness.
