Adjudicating experiment

Approximately 300 adults would be randomized to three groups—psychological time practice, visual imagery training, and relaxation—for eight weeks. At weeks 0, 4, and 8 and at a three-month follow-up, measures would include VVIQ scores, mental rotation response times and accuracy, imagery priming effects, visual and auditory temporal order judgments, and the cross-modal temporal binding window. Training credibility would be matched, expectancy measured, and primary endpoints and procedures for multiple comparisons pre-registered. Approximately 120 participants would join a substudy of virtual self-location and EEG. The project would take 12–18 months. “Subconscious manipulation” must be separately defined as a specific process outside conscious control; ordinary improvements in imagery cannot serve as a substitute.
