Feasible, but in two stages: Stage 1 recruits 60 practitioners with stable trance-induction ability and 60 matched controls, with repeated measurements during wakefulness, meditation, trance, and simulated trance, using SQUID-MEG or calibrated OPM-MEG, while recording eye movements, EMG, ECG, respiration, and head motion; pre-register spectral power, aperiodic components, non-stationarity, and source-space connectivity metrics. Stage 2 uses an independent sample with safe, double-blind, randomized on/off external fields presenting cross-frequency encoding, testing reception thresholds and information-decoding bandwidth; over 18–24 months. Specificity of Seth's formulation
