For supplementary question 2: about 240 healthy adults complete encoding of events with objective records; after 24 hours, receive false-ability feedback or neutral feedback, with cross-manipulation of context reinstatement and memory reactivation; include immediate update, delayed ~6-hour update, and no-reactivation control; test source memory, confidence, emotion, and future choices at 24 hours and one week, with a one-month follow-up. Additionally, in 20–40 patients with hippocampal electrodes already in place for clinical needs, run corresponding tasks recording physiological ripple events and content replay, excluding epileptiform activity; multicenter recruitment over about 2–3 years.
