Supplementary question 1: Three centers, approximately 240 participants, each with two sessions totaling about 200 trials, over 12–18 months; synchronous recording of TMS coil current, EEG, hand muscle EMG, and subjective event timing using a hardware unified clock and audible, scalp-matched sham stimulation. Stimulus presence or side must be randomized by hardware only after the pre-stimulus analysis window ends; pre-registered tests whether prior signals can decode future conditions in held-out data, avoiding non-causal filtering leaking post-stimulus information into pre-stimulus periods. Ordinary neural signals preceding EMG serve as positive controls; subjective report timing is only a secondary endpoint. If the 'internal pattern' is unmeasurable, this version cannot adjudicate.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
'Always' and 'must have already' are strong universal predictions, but the internal pattern and destination are not operationalized; ordinary motor preparation preceding muscle activity does not distinguish a Sethian explanation from neurophysiology.
