Research Program / Claims / perception-6

The complete process of perception includes two halves: outward projection to form events and the subsequent physical perception of those events; considering only the latter half is one-sided.

感知的完整过程包含向外投射以形成事件和随后物理地感知该事件两半,仅考虑后一半是片面的。

This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
Three centers, about 600 participants, each with at least 200 randomized blocks, comparing three conditions: actual motor control of stimuli, imagery-only control, and passive observation; another isolated device runs continuously, with output displayed only after the block ends, and an unattended sham task is added; pre-register object-end changes, subjective sense of control, and motor-mediation analysis; about 18 months; if the effect appears only in the actual-motor condition, it supports the perception–action loop; if the isolated device is influenced by pure intention and the finding is independently replicated, an additional causal channel is supported.
Suggested paper title
Separating Action-Mediated Feedback from Intention-Associated Changes in External Events
What it would overturn
Only pure intention changing the outcome of isolated targets would revise the hypothesis that psychological influences on the external world require an identifiable physical channel of action.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
The 'contested' label applies to operational research on 'intention affecting external events'; the original statement expands this effect into a necessary stage of all perception, for which there is no direct support, nor does it specify the conditions under which projection should fail.
Note
Generative models in the brain generate predictions about inputs, which cannot be directly equated with generating external matter; for related theoretical work, see [Karl J. Friston's research publications](https://www.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/~karl/).
