Adjudicating experiment
First define 'plane' as a repeatably inducible specific state. Recruit 150–200 people in a within-subject design, manipulating brightness, noise, imagery intensity, and fatigue; measure discrimination sensitivity d′, decision criterion, and confidence calibration, 4 sessions per person, over 12 months. If 'plane' refers to an independent world rather than a physiological or experimental state, external criteria for identifying it must be given; the above experiments cannot adjudicate that.
