The consciousness of the outer ego is merely a "shadow" cast by the intuitive knowledge of the inner self.

外在自我的意识只是内在自我直觉知识所投下的“影子”。

This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
Approximately 200 participants complete repeated perceptual judgment, reason weighing, and spontaneous action tasks, with EEG, choices, and confidence recorded; a pre-registered sham-control TMS experiment with approximately 100 participants intervenes in metacognition or control components; the cycle lasts 18 months. The unidirectional model in which consciousness is only passively read out is compared with a recurrent model that permits feedback control, testing subsequent strategy updates and corrections on independent data; if the interpretation of the shadow as measurable causal passivity is rejected, the original metaphor remains undecidable.
Suggested paper title
Causal Tests of Feedforward and Recurrent Models of Conscious Decision Monitoring
What it would overturn
If it is strictly demonstrated that consciousness-associated representations have only a readout function and do not participate in subsequent control, this would revise the functional hypothesis that conscious access participates in flexible feedback control.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
The "shadow" does not specify whether it refers to information compression, temporal lag, or absence of causal efficacy, and is less specific than a fitable feedforward or recurrent model.
Note
TMS can test the causal role of relevant neural mechanisms, but a single intervention cannot fully separate subjective consciousness from all accompanying neural processing.
