Adjudicating experiment
Approximately 80 participants complete trance, ordinary imagination, perception, and matched writing conditions, using fMRI or fNIRS with short-distance channels, combined with heart rate, skin conductance, respiration, and blood pressure; each participant attends 3 sessions over about 12 months. Perceptual content and bodily feedback are randomly manipulated to test bidirectional causal effects on reports and physiological indices; if distal objects are also claimed to change, physically isolated targets, randomized observation periods, and independent sensors must be set up. The above design still cannot adjudicate 'every atom immediately changes.'

Ordinary perception–body coupling does not require overturning mainstream hypotheses; only confirmed distal target changes without a physical channel would challenge the hypothesis that 'changes in object state require physical interaction.'

Specificity of Seth's formulation
The weak version is compatible with embodied cognition, interoception, and active inference; 'whole structure,' 'immediately,' and 'every atom' are stronger but provide no scale, temporal resolution, or effect lower bound.

Answering supplemental question 4: fMRI BOLD and fNIRS oxygenation changes can test local neurovascular coupling but cannot prove that all body atoms undergo perception-specific changes, nor can they prove quantum entanglement.
