Approximately 60 skilled practitioners and 60 meditators or matched controls undergo repeated recordings under resting, meditation, trance, N1, and N2 sleep conditions over 12–18 months. Combined high-density EEG, MEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, respiration, and external field measurements are recorded; pre-registered source-localized oscillations and field stability indices are used; additionally, calibrated stimuli estimate frequency-detection threshold curves across states. Only if expanded external input detection ability is linked to reproducible field changes, and an intervention shows causality, would the mechanism be approximated.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
'Larger frequencies and ranges' provides a directional prediction, but 'electromagnetic atmosphere' and 'instability' lack operational definitions, so support cannot be selectively drawn from arbitrary frequency-band differences post hoc.
