Addressing question 1: Approximately 240 participants are randomly assigned to scene visualization training, standard cognitive reappraisal, or a relaxation control matched for expectancy and contact time; training lasts 8 weeks with a 4-week follow-up, over approximately 12 months; pre- and post-measures include VVIQ, trial-by-trial vividness, binocular rivalry priming, and 64-channel EEG. Pre-register alpha/theta frequency bands, regions of interest, and multiple comparison methods, controlling for eye closure, drowsiness, respiration, eye movements, and EMG; spontaneous visual experiences are recorded with immediate reports and blind-coded. To test the external authenticity of visual content, an independent sealed archive or randomly hidden targets should be established, with blinding until after reports are locked.

What it would overturn
If ordinary reappraisal or imagery training is effective, this does not overturn mainstream hypotheses; only if independently measurable emotional energy transmission that cannot be explained by known physiological processes is found would the current model of emotion regulation mechanisms be revised.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
'Like X-rays' and 'energy direction' lack units, pathways, or dose-response relationships; if interpreted metaphorically, a weak version has support, but the original mechanism is not directly tested.
Note
No direct controlled replication of 'Ro seeing a younger self's past life' was found; reproducible visual experiences, EEG changes, and the truthfulness of past-life narratives are three distinct propositions, and alpha/theta changes cannot be taken as an indicator of authenticity.
