Medicine regards people as carriers of disease, and seeks the nature of fatal illnesses by studying dead tissue, deviating from the direction of directly engaging with patients. Moreover, naming and labeling diseases is harmful.

医学将人视为疾病的携带者,通过研究死组织来发现致死疾病的本质,背离了与病人直接打交道的方向,而且命名和标签化疾病是有害的。

This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
In approximately 1,200 patients with non-specific low back pain, randomly use different but accurate, clinically normative diagnostic explanation approaches: label emphasis, symptom and prognosis emphasis, and enhanced shared decision-making; other treatments remain consistent, with follow-up from 6 to 12 months. Compare anxiety, function, healthcare use, treatment adherence, and missed diagnoses; cluster randomization across about 20 outpatient clinics reduces communication contamination. This paradigm adjudicates labeling and communication effects; it cannot adjudicate the overall value of pathology research.

Diagnostic Framing, Patient Expectations, and Clinical Outcomes in Nonspecific Low Back Pain: A Cluster-Randomized Trial
What it would overturn
If cross-context net harm of labeling is demonstrated, it will revise the practical assumption that "the clinical informational benefit of accurate diagnostic labels generally outweighs their communication and psychological costs," rather than negating histopathology.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
Labels may affect patients through expectancy and stigma, for which modern research already has direct hypotheses; Seth's sweeping harmful claim is stronger, but lacks specification by disease, label type, and net harm metrics.
Note
"Contested" applies to the testable labeling effect; the overall description that "medicine only studies dead tissue and turns away from patients" is inaccurate, as modern clinical trials and patient-reported outcomes study living patients.
