Establish cohorts of about 100 patients with dissociative identity disorder and 150 patients with bipolar disorder, with trauma-related and healthy controls of about 150, followed for 18–24 months; monthly scans with denser EEG, experience sampling, and clinical assessments around natural state transitions. Pre-register predictions of competitive state occupancy approaching, transition thresholds, and lag effects, comparing out-of-sample against continuous-change models. This can test the added neurodynamic hypothesis; the original claim of detachment from space-time requires specification of independent observable outcomes to be adjudicated.
