Adjudicating experiment
Approximately 180 participants randomly assigned to 8 weeks of structured introspection, expectancy-matched attention training, or waitlist control, with blind assessment by independent evaluators; each participant first submits experience classifications and falsifiable predictions in repeated tasks, then these are compared against pre-held-out behavioral and EEG data, with a 3-month retest; total duration about 1 year. Test whether training improves test-retest reliability of reports and incremental predictive power; if the claim is to discover facts beyond one's own experience, additionally set up an automated random hidden-target task. Participants may avoid instruments during the discovery phase, but scientific adjudication still requires independent verification.

What it would overturn
If, under strict blind testing, introspection could reliably discover external facts not accessible through known sensory channels, this would challenge the working assumption that knowledge of external facts must be obtained through physical information channels.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
The suggestion to value consciousness research is compatible with existing first-person research, but 'inner portals' lacks a repeatable operational definition and does not specify what would count as failure.

A methodological proposal is not a natural law that can be adjudicated as true or false; what can be tested is its report reliability, predictive gain, and external validity; rich experience cannot be taken directly as evidence of external reality.
