Research Program / Claims / channeling-8

Information from other levels must be translated into symbolic form; otherwise it is meaningless to the perceiver.

来自其他层面的信息必须转译为象征形式,否则对感知者毫无意义。

This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
First define "symbol" as reportable word or image coding, and "meaning" as information usable for correct choice. Approximately 200 people complete hidden-target tasks, crossing free narration, direct button press, visuospatial choice, and verbal interference conditions; each person performs 300 trials over a period of 9–12 months. Measure accuracy, explicit report, and transfer separately; if non-symbolic conditions preserve performance, this operational version can be refuted, but if all neural representations are labeled as symbols, the experiment cannot adjudicate.
Suggested paper title
Verbal and Nonverbal Representations in Blinded Information-Reporting Tasks
What it would overturn
If it is strictly proven that meaningful information processing must depend on explicit symbols, this would revise the cognitive hypothesis that non-linguistic, non-explicit representations can support effective behavior.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
"Other levels," "symbol," and "meaning" all lack operational boundaries; if symbols are equated with all representations, the claim becomes nearly definitional.
Note
No paper directly testing this ontological claim was found; ordinary sensory transduction cannot be taken as evidence for "cross-level information translation."
