Adjudicating experiment
For at least six cell types (e.g., keratinocytes, fibroblasts, immune cells), use microfluidic chemical gradients, mechanical compression, and thermal stimulation, combined with receptor knockout, patch clamp, calcium imaging, and adaptation tests; at least 8 donors or independent sources per type, 3 cultures per source, over 9–12 months. This can test the sensing range and mechanisms; to adjudicate awareness, a validated criterion for consciousness independent of stimulus-response must first be proposed, and no consensus single-cell criterion currently exists.

Specificity of Seth's formulation
"Every cell" is a strong universal claim, but "awareness" is undefined; if awareness is equated with receptor responses, there are no distinguishable predictions from existing cell physiology.
