Normal waking consciousness has periodic 'blank spots,' with frequency depending on activity from 15 to 50 times per hour, during which one can perceive other realities but usually does not remember.

正常醒时意识存在周期性“空白点”,频率视活动每小时15到50次,人可在其中感知其他现实但通常不记得。

This program treats the Seth Material as a source of hypotheses, not as doctrine to be validated. Lead dossiers are AI-compiled from the corpus with a book-and-session citation after every statement; literature reviews are AI web-search summaries whose references were all DOI-verified against Crossref; the agenda draft is an AI synthesis. None of it is Seth's original text, and none of it represents scientific consensus. English fields are machine-translated; the Chinese text is authoritative.

Adjudicating experiment
Pre-register approximately 200 participants, each with 3 sessions of 2 hours at low, medium, and high cognitive load tasks, randomized cross-over with control for sleep, time of day, and caffeine; simultaneous high-density EEG, pupil, sustained response, random experience probes, and spontaneous reports. Clearly distinguish blanks, mind-wandering, missed responses, microsleeps, and memory retrieval failures; calibrate event onsets and offsets with independently labeled data, then estimate event frequency per hour and inter-event interval distribution. Test whether frequency falls within 15-50 and whether it is truly periodic. Additionally, use an RSVP attentional blink task to test association; missed-response counts in that task cannot be directly equated with spontaneous blanks. Duration 9-12 months; to test anomalous information acquisition, add isolated random targets and blind scoring.

The Frequency and Temporal Structure of Mind Blanking Across Cognitive Loads: A Pre-registered EEG Study
What it would overturn
If stable periodicity is found and blank windows can capture isolated target information, it would challenge the explanation that 'waking attentional lapses arise from internal state fluctuations and do not provide an additional external information channel.'

Specificity of Seth's formulation
15-50 times/hour is the most explicit numerical prediction in this set, but event duration and operational definition are lacking; the frequency range itself does not imply periodicity.
Note
Corresponds to supplementary question 1: attentional blink is a task-induced short-term target recognition deficit, mind-wandering has thought content, neither equals thought blank; time proportion from experience probes cannot be directly converted to hourly frequency.
