When the reasoning mind is not fully developed or its full power is not activated, the capacity for direct cognition becomes apparent instead; for example, certain intellectually disabled individuals and children exhibit astonishing abilities in mathematics, music, and other fields. The more deeply one uses the reasoning mind, the worse these abilities develop.
