Jane once had an out-of-body experience during a psychological time exercise: after lying down, she felt vibrations in her head, found herself standing before an unfamiliar house, saw the doctor's doctor (who did not notice her), and then returned to the bedroom, fully conscious throughout. She considered this a genuine "out-of-body experience" and judged consciousness to be independent of the body.
